Hey folks and good morning wherever you shall dwell in the world. Homelife at times can be downright dull so why not go on a staycation I thought to myself. San Francisco it is my little weekend getaway sitting on the dock of the bay wasting time lol.

Hey folks please feel free 2 Subscribe to Rw’s Random Life Blog Thank You.

10 am Friday morning my mommy dearest offered to drive me to the transit center and so we were on our way across town. A crazy occurred on Oliver road a small black rottweiler just rushed out in front my mother’s car. OMG that dog just came out of nowhere fast anyways we made it to the transit center safely.

San Francisco I am Here Folks

The city comes slowly back to life, numerous busses rumbling down Market st with passengers wearing diapers on their faces (masks) lol.  Odd characters on the city sidewalks huddling together chatting loudly about this, and that. No streetcars, or cable cars to found on Market st as Muni the city transit authority shut down train access til January 2021? Due to faulty infrastructure, and the covid-19 situation yikes.

Finally it’s 3 pm folks I check in to Music City Hotel on bush st the hub of all things musical production. According to the hotel’s website Music City, is a musical incubator and an epicenter for the performing arts, is rooted in the belief that musical talent and creativity continue to be drawn to the San Francisco Bay Area. From the counterculture movement of the beat poets in the 1950’s, to the surge of musicians who gave us the Summer of Love, to the megastar classic rock acts of the 1970’s and 80’s, to the innovative contributions of rap, hip hop, and punk of the 1990’s.

San Francisco has always stood as the bastion for the working musician and a musical epicenter of the world. The cost of living, however, has eroded the many opportunities musicians once had, and despite technologies’ quick access to a musician’s work, the lack of a centralized physical community has impaired people’s ability to connect on a human level. Music City stands as that community.

Through brick and mortar, built by hands and hearts, our objective is simple: To nourish and sustain the future of music in the city, as well as the musician. Music City combines the San Francisco Music Hall of Fame, a venue, a restaurant and cafe, a recording studio, an Internet TV station, fifty plug and play

rehearsal studios, educational facilities, and a hotel/hostel for the traveling musicians. Music City will honor and preserve the San Francisco Bay Area’s rich musical history and provide a destination for fans, history buffs, and musicians for generations to come.

Rudy C the hotel owner’s mission was to provide a self-sustaining, economically viable musical training facility that  served as an incubator, offering access to the musical tools necessary to jumpstart the potential careers of working musicians and new breakthrough artists. Music City aims to inspire through performance and entertainment. It highlights the immense talent of musicians in our community, and adds to the richness and vitality of the San Francisco Bay Area’s culture.

The Perfect Gift

From my personal point of view Music City Hotel seemed quite different then the last time I’ve been there. A major interior renovation has taken place with fresh paint, furniture, walls lined with rockstar greats like Fleetwood Mac, and Linda Perry. The hotel is housed in an older building as a result no elevators to be found. In my room there was a cool evans drumset on display along with new beds, and linens galore.

Music City Hotel and Covid-19 safety due to current shelter in place orders for the county of San Francisco, from the present until end of July 2020 the hotel is currently accepting reservations only for  essential workers, first responders,  those needing isolation from current living situation, and for reservations that are needed for essential travel and other activities that are permitted.
